Challenge

Where the project started.

Established ecommerce business growing 40 percent year-over-year was struggling with a Shopify Plus setup costing $2,400/mo plus 0.15% transaction fees. Mobile checkout was at 1.7 percent conversion. They wanted ownership, lower fees, and a subscription product that Shopify could not handle natively.

Approach

How we shipped it.

  1. 01 Built custom WooCommerce theme on a performance-tuned base, no page builders.
  2. 02 Migrated 220 products with full meta, images, variants, and category taxonomy preserved.
  3. 03 Implemented Stripe Subscriptions for the monthly box product (Shopify Plus subscriptions are paid extra).
  4. 04 Product, Offer, and AggregateRating schema across the entire catalog.
  5. 05 Image pipeline: AVIF + WebP fallback, responsive srcset, lazy load below the fold.
  6. 06 Custom checkout flow with one-page checkout and Stripe Express integration.
